Cowabunga Bay
This was the first site that I built with Advanced Custom Fields as a way of inserting content without the client needing to know HTML. This client had been with Oozle for about 9 months and was unhappy with the direction the site was going in. I was asked to resolve the situation by building a new site with a new design and new parameters, and I had a week to do it in. I built the site with a lot of custom options on each page so that the client could add and edit his own pages, which was really important to him. When I showed him his new site, he was tentatively excited. The more he looked at and worked in the admin area, the more he loved it.
There were a few effects on the site, mostly some JavaScript-based animations that I created to allow things like a scrolling text banner, pop-ups, and video players.
I built this site in 2013, and it remained up for nearly a decade. It remained relatively unchanged, other than the client adding some pages and changing a little content. He’s been able to update things like banners on the homepage, including a scrolling banner with a recent park update.

A local waterpark in Draper, UT, needed a dynamic site that reflected their fun atmosphere, but also a site that the owner could edit without needing to rely on a developer.
