Avalon – 2012

This site consists of both a desktop and a mobile version. The client also required forms to be sent to a third-party via AJAX which also contain data relating to the origin of the user, for lead gen and tracking purposes. The dynamic background changes every time you reload the page, as do a number of elements on the site.

Update: This client ended up leaving to get a new site with another company, but came back to us for SEO eventually. We then did another site redesign, followed a few years later by a facelift. As of 2022, this site still uses my theme, though a junior dev performed the code update.

Description

The first of a few different redesigns/rebuilds of the Avalon Cosmetology website. This was done purely on aesthetics alone - at the time, CRO wasn't really well understood. It ended up not performing well, because pretty doesn't always mean functional. The redesign a few years later was less design-heavy, but converted much better.
