Burg Children’s Dentistry

Burg Children’s Dentistry originally started out as Burg Pediatric Dentistry, and was a client of Oozle Media for over a decade. I built the most recent one. The fun thing about the recent design is that it was custom (I built it from the ground up, it didn’t use one of my other themes) and that we reused the theme across multiple other Burg properties. I didn’t build the other sites under the Burg banner, but they were created using my original code, with some modifications, by my dev team.

Burg did end up leaving Oozle because they became so big, they needed their own in-house marketing person. They loved my site, which does a few cool things that I hadn’t done elsewhere. For example, it auto-populates form fields based on a custom post type, the Location post, in WordPress admin. It populates both the label (the name of the location) and an email address as the value. I was trying to make it as easy as possible for them to make changes in the future.

This also contains a map that is populated completely by the same location posts, meaning the user only has to enter in an address and it gets entered in automatically to the switcher at the bottom of the homepage, and the locations map itself. I learned a lot about the Google Maps API building this site.
